Terms of Service

1. Using Repertoire Studio

You can use Repertoire Studio without an account; your data then stays in your browser. To sync across devices, use the AI coach or buy Pro, you sign in with a Google account. You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher, and you are responsible for activity on your account.

2. Your content

Your repertoires, notes, imported files and training history are yours. You give us permission to store, copy and process them only as needed to run Repertoire Studio for you, such as syncing them to your devices. Only import material you have the right to use; many opening courses allow personal use only, and it is your responsibility to follow their terms.

3. Acceptable use

Please don’t:

• try to get around plan limits or credit charges, or use the service in a way that manipulates them;
• scrape, overload or attack the service, or reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows;
• resell or redistribute the service, or access to it;
• use it to break the law or the terms of Lichess, Chess.com or other services you connect.

4. Plans and payment

Repertoire Studio is free to use, with an optional paid Pro plan and optional AI coach credit packs. Current prices are on the pricing page, in US dollars.

Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the Merchant of Record: it is the seller of record for your payment, handles tax, and appears on your statement. When you buy, you also agree to Dodo Payments’ Buyer Terms.

Pro subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period until you cancel. Cancel any time before your renewal date from Settings → Manage billing; Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and your account then returns to the free plan. If we change the price of your plan, we will tell you before it applies to your next renewal.

5. AI coach credits

The AI coach uses credits. Pro includes a monthly allowance that resets every 30 days and does not carry over. Credits from packs, and the starter credits on a new account, do not expire while Repertoire Studio is running. Credits have no cash value and can’t be transferred, sold or exchanged.

6. Refunds

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

7. The AI coach and engine analysis

AI coach answers are generated by a language model and engine evaluations are estimates. Both can be wrong. Use them as study aids, not as guarantees.

8. Other services

Features that use Lichess or Chess.com depend on those services and their terms. We are not responsible for their availability or their content.

9. Changes to the service

We improve Repertoire Studio continually and may change or remove features. If we ever shut it down, we will give at least 30 days’ notice so you can export your data (Settings → Export everything).

10. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Repertoire Studio at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, especially for abuse of credits or payments.

11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Repertoire Studio is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties beyond those in these terms, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes go to the courts of Andhra Pradesh, India. If you are a consumer, you keep any protection given by the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

13. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell signed-in users before they take effect.
